At StoRRack Manufacturing Ltd. (located in Colborne, Ontario), we manufacture steel racking. We are seeking candidates for the paint line operator position.

In this role, you will work with your team members to load/unload, bundle and strap finished product. This position is essential to our business as it is the final step to complete the product before it is shipped to our customer.

The ideal candidate must be physically capable of standing, bending, twisting for multiple hours and able to lift at least 50lbs. The candidate must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment and be reliable.

The shift is full-time Monday – Thursday 3:30pm – 2:00am (40hrs/week). Our facility is located in Colborne, ON. please ensure you have reliable transportation.

Good product knowledge

Knowledge of standard packaging & strapping procedures

WHMIS training

Forklift Experience (An Asset)

Duties:

Work in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA)

Hanging products on and taking them off the paint line.

Rack Beams: Take beams out of rack and hang on the hook.

Take product off and stack on a skid / wagon.

Endframes: Rack is manually moved to hang on area, where the endframe is lifted and hung on the line

Product is taken off the line and stacked on skids.

Maintain production reports: Recording accurate counts and descriptions is important

Advise supervisor of any quality problems

Hang product on the line as efficiently as possible to ensure that the line is running efficiently

Clean paint hooks

Other tasks as periodically assigned by the company

Ensure quality control of finished product, notify the supervisor immediately of any burnt or damaged products

Load/unload burn off oven.

Locate products to be painted and stage upcoming jobs

Maintain uninterrupted production by keeping the line running while products are being bundled and staged for hanging

General housekeeping, all materials placed in designated areas.

Attend all continuing education and required job related training provided by the company.
