Welcome to our Manufacturers’ Open House, How It’s Made Northumberland.
In three communities, manufacturers are opening their doors to the public for tours to get an inside look into what is made in our fabulous County.
When touring you will learn about what’s made, see our employees in action, watch our robots work and learn about the opportunities like jobs, local innovation, and how we’re proud to be corporate citizens of this great County.
Also get the chance to enjoy a free hamburger or hotdog and drink at our free community BBQ’s.

CPK Interior Products
Celebrating 59 years in Port Hope, CPK Interior Products prides themselves on being a leader employer and a safe and healthy workplace.

Trade Tech Industries
Trade Tech Industries offers the fabrication, supply, delivery and erection of structural steel, steel deck, and miscellaneous metals, as well as a variety of general fabrications. We are a Canadian owned business established in 1998. Our large-scale facility is designed to meet our growing needs as progressive fabricators.

Cameco
Cameco Fuel Manufacturing is one of two suppliers serving Canada’s reactor fleet and is the largest Canadian-based fabricator of in-core reactor components for CANDU reactors around the world.
Our metal fabrication plant in Cobourg, Ontario produces zirconium metal reactor fuel tubes and other components both for use in fuel assemblies and in the manufacture of reactor components used to generate electricity and medical isotopes.

You will tour and find the design of the first floor of Venture13 to be comprised of three essential components: the Innovation Commons, the V13 VentureZone and the V13 MakerLab (programs delivered by Northumberland Makers). Our V13 VentureZone is home to small business owners and innovators in a co-working atmosphere. The second floor of Venture13 houses the secure facilities of the Cobourg Police Services’ technology business unit.
The Town of Cobourg’s Venture13 innovation and entrepreneurship centre, which houses the Town’s Economic Development department and anchors community and industry organizations in one place and under one roof: Northumberland CFDC, Northumberland Manufacturers Association and Northumberland Maker. These organizations are working together to ensure that our business community can actively engage and find opportunity in the new rural economy and Industry 4.0. Our innovation partners are helping us make it happen.

Wondering what millwork is? Millwork is traditionally all the woodwork items in an interior of a building. Wall paneling, trim, cabinetry, bars and reception desks to name a few elements. The millwork we do is highly customized for each job and includes not only wood but decorative metals, glass, solid surface products and stone. You must come in and check it out for yourselves!
We currently employ over 100 employees and sub-contractors, and are actively trying to grow our team. We have many different employment opportunities available, ranging from Production Associates to Draftspeople to Cabinet Makers, and more.
