The Metal Fabricator is accountable for the safe and efficient production of custom metal fabrication pieces. Assigned work will be completed according to work directives, client specifications and company quality standards.

Key Accountabilities:

Create, monitor, and maintain a well kept, organized and safe work environment while promoting, complying with, and enforcing adherence to health and safety rules, regulations, procedures and policies
Fabricate intricate custom metal projects as per architectural drawings, specifications and work orders
Cut, fit, weld, punch, drill, shape, join, assemble and work with various grades of metal (steel, aluminum, stainless, brass, bronze, copper) to tight tolerances
Execute cuts and welds using various equipment including MIG, TIG, plasma and oxy/acetylene
Cut materials using power tools or by hand
Set up, program (as required), operate and maintain various machines and tools using proper techniques used in the production of custom metal projects including press brake, shear, saws, CNC, drills, punch, grinder, overhead and jib cranes
Inspect and ensure machines and equipment are running optimally including cleanliness, temperatures, grease points, and lock points
Read and precisely follow architectural drawings, specifications and work orders

Key Competencies/Requirements:

Minimum 2 years experience in the fitting/welder discipline with an emphasis in decorative metal
Experience working with all metals including steel, aluminum, stainless, brass, bronze and copper
Experience with various metal machines
Ability to accurately read and interpret architectural plans, drawings and specifications
Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision
Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
Demonstrated safe use of power and hand tools
