Networking
To promote collaboration among Northumberland manufacturers, the NMA holds regular networking sessions - on such topics as High Performance Manufacturing, Organizational Leadership, and Environmental Health and Safety - in which members discuss common concerns, share best practices, and provide guidance and support to one another. By participating in these “Strategic Focus Groups“, members have the unique opportunity to learn from both the successes and the failures of their peers.
Several local manufacturers have already benefited from their participation in the NMA.
UniTrak joined the NMA in its first year and with NMA help we took on the lean journey. It has been a rewarding experience. As a small company we have probably benefited the most from the NMA by staying informed about various government programs, networking with industry leaders and various government officials. We are now poised for growth with our new manufacturing upgrades, several new hires and a capacity increase of 60%.
